Angel likes to be outside and to go to school. He also really enjoys going out to eat. He is shy and likes to joke around with the other kids.

Angel is originally from Miahuatlan, where the native tongue spoken is Zapotec. He was brought to Casa Hogar when he was four years old. He was born blind, and he also displays attributes of Autism. Angel’s single mother is also visually impaired and mentally handicapped. When he arrived at Casa Hogar, he was unable to walk or talk. Angel is now independent in daily tasks apart from occasional verbal prompts. In the past seven years, there has been no communication with his mother, and so Casa Hogar Benito Juarez is Angel’s true home. He is struggling to learn how to read and write braille and his neurological deficiency definitely complicates his learning. Angel participates in special education classes at the school on-site at Casa Hogar.
