Vicente Cruz Mellado *SPONSORED*
Birthday: January 14, 2000
Hobbies: work outside, help around Casa, watch car videos
Chente is hardworking, thoughtful, and servant-hearted. He likes to exercise and help others around Casa Hogar. He enjoys movies and learning about cars. He is learning to be an excellent handyman. He is silly and very curious.
Chente was born in San Mateo Etlatongo, Nochitzlan. The native language of his home village is Mixteco. Chente was brought to Casa Hogar when he was four. He is deaf, has autism, and is nonverbal. His autism has inhibited him from being able to learn formal sign language, although he uses his own sign language that all of us here usually can understand. Vicente’s mom had cancer in her eye, and his father was quite elderly and had a second family. Vicente’s mom brought him to Casa Hogar in order to shield him from his father's abusive treatment. It has been nine years since we have received any form of communication from either parent; we presume they both have passed away.
